About Sport + Impact Group (SIG)
2024 – Deepening Partnerships + Launching Signature Program
This year sees the launch of our signature program – The SIG Girls Accelerator. By applying the proven model of start up business accelerators to the career development of elite high school athletes we are creating a talent pipeline that places the Player first. A small group of Kentucky high school girl elite players will receive personalized, on-field instruction from a global team of pro coaches over a weekend, with ongoing virtual connection.
2023 – Genius Elevated
To elevate and amplify important voices speaking to issues like gender/race equity, economic creativity/development, and the impact of sport on society, we formed a speakers’ bureau and talent management program.
2022 – A Global First
SIG produces The Women’s Cup as the world’s first carbon-neutral international soccer tournament, besting the first sustainable men’s World Cup by three months. We celebrate the achievement with a private tour and reception at the Muhammad Ali Center for 400+ VIPs, teams and staff, and guests.
2021 – Meet the GOAT
SIG hosts The Women’s Cup international tournament teams and VIP guests at a private tour and reception at Louisville’s crowning jewel, the world-renowned Muhammad Ali Center. Tournament founders and owners John Paul Reynal and Jaime Phillips are recognized for their vision of bringing the best players of the world’s favorite game to Louisville.
2020 – Innovation Meets Action
Sport + Impact Group (SIG) founded by local businesswomen to increase the social and economic impact of pro women’s soccer teams in Louisville and Lexington. Our mission: more women, teams, and communities earning more money through the collective power of soccer.
